About Mark Padfield, ATC
As a Tonganoxie resident, Mark Padfield loves working with student-athletes and staff members from his community.
“I’m originally from Garnett, but I’ve called Tonganoxie home since 2004,” he said. “My wife and I have raised our daughters in this town and we stayed for the people. I’m approaching the phase of life where I’m now working with kids of my former athletes, which is hard to fathom!”
After graduating from Anderson County High School, Mark earned a degree in secondary education and was a member of the track and field team at Kansas State University. He taught and coached in Osage City until returning to school at Emporia State, earning a master’s degree to become an athletic trainer.
Mark is now a teacher at Tonganoxie High School and works for LMH Health as the athletic trainer assigned to the school. But that’s not all – he also works as an athletic trainer spotter for the NFL and as a medical observer for the Big 12, which allows him to spend weekends protecting players at Arrowhead and Memorial Stadium.
